FINDING INNERPEACE AND TRULY HAPPYNESS
Everyday, 10.30am - 11.30am
Generosity is a core practice of Buddhism, and one of the traditional expressions of this is through offering food to the monks and nuns. Every day the community of Sangha and lay supporters come together at 10:30am to share a meal. Anyone is welcome to come to the monastery and share in the meal.
3:30 pm to 5 pm
We have a meditation class on Saturdays 3 times per month. We don't have the class every the first week of month because we have a ceremony in the first week of month.
Monthly
In Buddhism, the state of final release is known as Nirvana, which signifies the extinguishing of the passions and the liberation from the cycle of suffering and rebirth (samsara). Giving life is getting longevity. We release fish at Sedgwick park monthly in Spring, Summer and Fall.
Sundays, 11:00am - 11:15 am (EXCEPT THE FIRST SUNDAY OF MONTH)
We host an alms offering ceremony where attendees get a chance to partake in the traditional Buddhist alms offering ceremony.
